Classic massage is manual work on the whole body or on individual areas - stroking, rubbing, kneading and vibration techniques adapted to the state of your muscles and your sensitivity.
I have been doing massage for ten years. Each time I work with what the body is asking for that day - for one person that is a tense back after work at a computer, for another it is the legs after a long day standing.
What the treatment does
- relaxes tense muscles and eases the feeling of heaviness
- improves circulation and tissue metabolism
- helps after physical exertion and repetitive working postures
- calms - for many it is rest for the mind as well as the body
Who it suits
- if your back and shoulders are tense from sedentary work
- if your muscles are tired after physical work or sport
- if you want regular, thorough relief for the body
How the treatment works
Before the massage we talk briefly - which areas need attention, what pressure feels good to you, and whether there are places to avoid.
The massage takes place on a professional massage table with oil. I adjust pressure and pace to how it feels for you throughout - do say if something needs to change.
Contraindications
- acute inflammation, raised temperature
- skin conditions or damage in the area being massaged
- oncological conditions
- thrombosis, pronounced varicose veins
- the first trimester of pregnancy
If you have chronic conditions or recent injuries, tell me when you book and we will decide together whether and how to adapt the massage.
Frequently asked questions
- How long does the massage take?
- The length depends on whether we work on the whole body or on individual areas - we will agree the exact time when you book.
- Can the massage be firm?
- Yes, I adjust the pressure to your wishes - from gentle and relaxing to thorough muscle work. What matters is that you feel good afterwards, not battered.
- How often is it worth coming?
- For a regular effect, once a week or once a fortnight works well. If the goal is simply to rest, come when your body asks for it.
